Security
Verify Before You Wire.
Real estate transactions are a target for criminals. A moment of verification protects the funds you have spent years building.
Important notice
Wire fraud is a serious risk in real estate transactions. Legacy Premier Title will never ask you to rely solely on emailed wiring instructions. Always verify wiring information directly with our office using a trusted phone number before sending funds.
Six Rules
How to protect your closing funds.
Call to Verify — Every Time
Before sending any funds, call our office at a number you already know to be correct and confirm the wiring instructions verbally.
Never Trust Emailed Changes
We do not change wiring instructions by email. Any email announcing new bank details should be treated as fraudulent until verified by phone.
Check the Sender Carefully
Fraudulent emails often copy names, signatures, and logos with a slightly altered address or domain.
Confirm Receipt
After wiring, call to confirm the funds arrived. Fast detection improves the chance of recovery.
If Something Feels Wrong, Stop
Pause the transfer and call us. We would always rather answer an extra call than help unwind a loss.
Act Immediately on Suspicion
Contact your bank, our office, and law enforcement right away if you believe funds were misdirected.
This page is general security guidance, not legal or financial advice, and does not guarantee prevention or recovery of losses. Always verify instructions directly with our office.
